Formulated with natural moisture-retaining Hyaluronic acid, AKAI is infused with antioxidant and skin-soothing Camellia oil (Tsubaki) and Gromwell oil, revealing a vibrant natural red colour that will not stain your lips. Plant-derived Ceramide-like amino acids prevent dehydration and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier.
AKAI’s inspiration comes from the traditional Japanese rouge made from rare Benibana or Safflower flowers. Suitable for all skin types.
WHY IT WORKS
The lip skin does not have sweat glands, so it doesn't produce precious sebum to keep the skin smooth, protected and able to self-regulate warmth. This is why lips dry out faster even in warm weather and are so easily irritated, even by saliva.
AKAI combines 5 key ingredients to keep the lips healthy, moisturised and prevent dehydration, the first step to irritation and inflammation.
Its formula contains:
- double molecular size plant-based Hyaluronic acid to retain and distribute moisture efficiently
- Phytosteryl / Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate skin-identical ceramides to support the skin barrier
- Gromwell oil, deeply hydrating while preventing moisture loss
- Tsubaki oil, helps support and repair the skin barrier
- Safflower oil, anti-inflammatory oil
